Martin Agee’s career as a professional violinist has brought him to the major concert venues, recording studios and theatres of New York City for over thirty-five years. He performs with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Lincoln Center, American Composers Orchestra, New York Chamber Symphony, and the American Symphony Orchestra, among many others. As a collaborator in the field of new music, he has given world premieres of more than thirty-five works with the Music Today Ensemble, and toured four continents with Steve Reich and Musicians. His television, recording and performing credits include over forty original Broadway cast albums, and encompass a wide array of concert performances with the major artists of our time from Itzhak Perlman to Yannick Nezet-Seguin, and from Madonna to Metallica. During his years as a professional musician, Martin Agee has also remained active as a writer of poetry, fiction and critical essays.
